40 miles of mixed-terrain adventure across Cannock Chase and beyond!
The Run & Ride Christmas Rough Ride is back! A fantastic opportunity to get out on your bike, challenge yourself and enjoy some of the best gravel tracks, trails and quiet roads that Cannock Chase and the surrounding areas of South Staffordshire and Shropshire have to offer.
This isn't your traditional organised event. There's no mass start, no racing and no pressure. Just a pre-planned route of approximately 40 miles for you to enjoy at your own pace.
Whether you're a regular gravel rider, mountain biker or simply fancy something a little different over the festive period, the Christmas Rough Ride is a great excuse to get out and explore.
Please note that entry is strictly limited to 75 riders
The route is a single loop, taking you approximately 20 miles from our Milford store at its furthest point.
We've prioritised gravel tracks, forest fire roads and rideable trails to make the experience enjoyable for a wide range of riders. You'll also encounter sections of quiet road and canal towpaths, offering plenty of variety along the way.
Please note: This is a self-guided ride and the route will NOT be signposted. You'll need to navigate using the GPX file supplied ahead of the event.
The ride is open to everyone, but please remember that you're responsible for your own safety, equipment and navigation throughout.

Every rider receives one complimentary hot drink and a piece of cake back at Run & Ride in Milford upon completing the route.

The route is suitable for a variety of bikes, although we'd recommend tyres capable of handling gravel, mud and mixed off-road surfaces.
Entry Fee: £5 per rider

Access to the pre-planned 40-mile route
GPX navigation file, emailed ahead of the event
One hot drink and a piece of cake at the finish
One ticket = one rider.
There's no need to sign on or check in before setting off. Simply arrive, get yourself ready and head out whenever you're comfortable.
The official finish point is Run & Ride, Milford, where your coffee and cake will be waiting!
